Capture
Capture is how text enters the locker: typed, pasted, fetched from a URL, or spoken. Everything lands as markdown on disk.
Most note apps make capture feel heavy — accounts, sync delays, formats you
can’t open later. Capture is the opposite. You get a calm editor, a few powerful
ways in, and a save that writes a real .md file to your Mac.
No cloud account. No waiting for permission to keep a thought.
Whether you’re dumping a meeting, clipping an article, or talking through an idea on a walk, the goal is the same: get the words in cleanly, then forget the tool until you need them. That archive becomes the context Think uses later — so every capture is an investment in a locker that actually knows your work.

Write
The editor is a focused markdown surface. Type, save, and the note is a real file. Set a filename or leave a sensible default; smart titles help Explore stay readable when the list grows.
Smart Paste
Copy from the web, then Smart Paste. HTML becomes clean markdown — headings, lists, and links without the chrome of the page. If the clipboard is a URL, Capture can treat it as a page to convert.
From URL
Paste an article link and pull the main content into markdown. Ideal for research and reading lists — a durable copy of something that might move or disappear online.
Dictate
Speak when typing would slow you down. Live dictation is a Pro capability: get words down while you walk, drive, or think out loud.
Tidy
Rough speech is messy — fillers, false starts, repeats. Tidy turns dictation into readable prose while keeping your meaning. Revert if the cleanup went too far.
Tags
After content lands, suggested tags appear as chips — biased toward people, projects, places, and simple action types, not every word in the note. Remove any chip with one click. Tags travel with the file so Explore can filter without a heavy database.
Saving
Save writes to ~/Documents/Markdown Locker.
Cmd+S works as you’d expect. Re-saving the open note updates that file;
clear the editor when you want a new one.
